Mark Breland has issued a respectful response to the remarkable accusations Deontay Wilder aimed in his direction regarding the Tyson Fury rematch.
The former heavyweight champion spoke out for the first time since March at the end of last month, accusing Fury of cheating first by posting a video and statement on social media, and then following up with various interviews.
Breland threw in the towel to end the rematch
In the video, Wilder alleged the Brit tampered with his gloves to put his fist in an improper position.
He added that he believes Fury had a hard object concealed within his gloves to deal extra damage.
The American next claimed his water was spiked with muscle relaxers before the fight, potentially by his own co-trainer Breland.
He also pushed further accusations of disloyalty at Breland who threw in the towel to end the bout as well as placing some blame on referee Kenny Bayless.
The towel came in during round seven

Wilder’s sacked Breland as a result of the situation, and the trainer has now given his first statement on the matter.
Breland said: “Anyone who really knows me, knows I wouldnt go back and forth with anybody UNLESS its in the Ring!
“Ive been boxing since I was eight years old. So I didnt give a big portion of my life to the sport, I DEDICATED MY ENTIRE LIFE TO THIS SPORT!
“But I have never seen the things Im seeing now in ALL of those years!
“Im only on social media because of my girl.
Wilder has made a series of excuses after the bout
“We went somewhere and there was a picture of me and she said, ‘This is one of the reasons you need social media in this day and time.’
“She said, ‘There are people who have deep admiration for you and social media is a way to give them some access to you.’
“She asks me all the time am I tired of it? Do I want to go back to life without it?
“I always say no because the amount of support, love and gratitude I get lets me know all the hard work I put into my career was worth it!

“But I do have a file for ALL of them that moved me. I THANK ALL OF YOU FOR YOUR WORDS!
