The UEFA Champions League game between Paris Saint-Germain and Istanbul Basaksehir was suspended Tuesday after players from both teams walked off the field, alleging an official used a racial term towards an assistant coach.
Players from Basaksehir were seen angered after assistant coach Pierre Webo, who is from Cameroon, was given a red card.
Discussions between players and staff of both teams continued with referees while players and staff alleged the fourth official, Sebastian Coltescu, used a racial term towards Webo before he was sent off the field.
As players exited the field in solidarity, multiple Basaksehir players confronted the official including Demba Ba who demanded that Coltescu explain why he used the racial term towards the coach. 
The game was suspended after players did not return to the field, and will resume Wednesday from the 14th minute, when the game was originally halted.
UEFA, the governing body of European soccer, said in a statement that it was aware of the incident and “will be conducting a thorough investigation.”
The resumption on Wednesday will have a “new team of match officials.”

The Istanbul team tweeted “NO TO RACISM” shortly after the teams refused to play and left the field.
UEFA is aware of an incident during tonights Champions League match between Paris Saint-Germain and Istanbul Basaksehir and will be conducting a thorough investigation.
