Nearly three weeks after the death of a 48-year-old man in Phillip in Canberra’s south, police are asking for the public’s help to identify a group of people seen “behaving suspiciously” in the area.

  • 48-year-old Glenn Walewicz died after being shot at the entry to his home in Phillip
  • Investigators believe a group of people spotted alongside Athllon Drive may have information relevant to the shooting, and are calling for witnesses to come forwards
  • ACT Policing is still searching for the gun used in the attack

Glenn Walewicz was shot at the entrance to his Canberra home on June 11. He died in hospital a short time later.
Today ACT Policing asked anyone who saw a small group of people “behaving suspiciously” in the greenbelt area adjacent to Athllon Drive, Phillip, between 10:30pm and midnight on June 11 to come forward.
Officers said those people may have been associated with a light-coloured, four-door sedan.
The car was reportedly parked on the Mawson side of Athllon drive between Hindmarsh Drive and the Mawson shops.
In the days following the shooting, police conducted a line search along Athllon Drive between Mawson and Hindmarsh Drive.
