STARTING Tuesday, June 15, curfew hours in Metro Manila will be shorter.
Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) Chairman Benjamin “Benhur” Abalos Jr. said Metro Manila mayors met last Sunday night and agreed to adjust the curfew hours to midnight to 4 a.m. from the previous 10 p.m. to 4 a.m.
Abalos said the decision was based on the improvement of the Covid-19 daily attack rate, two-week growth rate, and the hospital bed occupancy.
The shorter curfew will give more time to people who need to work in restaurants, malls, and other workers who have to report early, Abalos said.
