Most of the indicators for Covid-19 in Ireland are now reducing or stable, the latest figures show.
The overall situation is significantly improving, compared with the situation even a few weeks ago.
Last night, the Health Service Executive put the number of patients in hospital at 104, a reduction of 20 cases.
Of these, 32 patients are in intensive care, a figure that is relatively stable.
There are just two hospitals in the country now with ten or more cases of the disease.
The five-day moving average of cases is 425, while a week ago it was 489.
At the peak of the third wave, there were 2,020 confirmed cases in hospitals on 18 January this year.
And in the vaccination programme, latest figures show that over 1.8 million doses of Covid-19 vaccines were administered by the Health Service Executive up to last Saturday, 8 May.
So far, over half a million people have now been fully vaccinated.
Meanwhile, the Department of Health yesterday reported no further Covid-19-related deaths and 381 new cases of the disease.
