Latest venue alerts in Sydney
NSW Health’s latest venue update was issued last night. The full list is here.
Authorities warned that anyone who attended Cibo Cafe in North Sydney on December 16 between 12pm and 12.45pm is considered a close contact, and must immediately get tested and isolate for 14 days, regardless of whether a negative result is received.
In addition, anyone who attended these locations is a casual contact who should get tested straight away and isolate until a negative result is received:
- Anytime Fitness Belrose, December 6 and 7 between 9.30am and 11.30am.
- Pnut Street Noodles Thai Restaurant, Balmain, December 16 between 6pm and 6.15pm.
- Belrose Hotel, Belrose, anyone who attended this venue during December should monitor for symptoms and immediately get tested if they appear.
- Sir Reuben, Rozelle, December 20, between 11am and 11.30am.
- Zeus Street Greek, Drummoyne, between December 22 between 6pm and 6.15pm
- Balmain Post Office, Balmain, December 22 between 3.30pm and 4pm.
Anyone who attended the following venue at the following times should monitor for symptoms and immediately get tested and isolate if they appear. If further symptoms appear, isolate and get tested again:
- Australian Red Cross Op Shop, Avalon Beach, December 15 between 1pm and 2pm.
- Ian Potter Children’s Wild Play Garden, Centennial Park, December 22 between 10am and 11.15am
Victoria recorded no new local cases of COVID-19 on Sunday morning, but one additional case in an international traveller within hotel quarantine.

The following restrictions apply until midnight on December 30. Restrictions for regional NSW remain unchanged and decisions on New Years Eve will be made in coming days.
Northern Beaches peninsula zone
This is north of Narrabeen Bridge, and east of the Bahai Temple.
- Given the ongoing risk, this area will return to stay-at-home restrictions, with no indoor gatherings allowed.
- Up to five people, including children, will be able to gather outdoors for exercise or recreational activity.
- People may not enter or leave this zone.
Southern zone of the northern beaches
- Given the ongoing risk, this area will return to stay-at-home restrictions, with no indoor gatherings allowed.
- Up to 10 people, including children, will be able to gather outdoors for exercise or recreational activity.
- People may not enter or leave this zone.
Residents of the northern beaches are able to leave for four permitted reasons:
- Shopping for food or other goods and services
- Travel for work or education purposes if unable to work from home
- Exercise
- Medical or caring reasons
Greater Sydney, Central Coast, Wollongong, Blue Mountains
- Restrictions will remain unchanged in these regions.
- Gatherings in the home are restricted to 10 people in total (including children).
- People who work in the CBD are urged to work from home where practical.
