Piers Morgan has had another crack at Meghan Markle – insisting he wasnt sacked from his television job because of his comments about the Duchess.
The controversial broadcaster exited his role on Good Morning Britain in March after voicing divisive opinions about the royal.
His comments also sparked a showdown with co-host Alex Beresford, which led to Morgan storming off set.
The 55-year-old now claims he left the show of his own volition, and denies he was shown the door, because he refused to back down or apologise for his comments.

Morgan dredged the matter up in a Twitter exchange with actor Nicholas Pinnock, after the Criminal: UK star asked: “Why are ITV still supporting Piers Morgan?! I thought they’d gotten rid of him for crossing the line,” after the network that broadcasts Good Morning Britain retweeted a photo of Morgan.
I thought the whole point was to distance themselves from individuals like this?
Morgan countered by asking Pinnock to delete the tweet, adding your desperation to have me ‘gotten rid of’ sounds like a death threat and is very damaging to my mental health.
Morgan eventually gave his version of the events that led to him leaving Good Morning Britain, denying he was sacked from his role.
ITV didn’t get rid of me. I left GMB because I declined to apologise for disbelieving Princess Pinocchio, he tweeted.
Morgan also reminded Pinnock that he still works for ITV, ahead of his appearance today on the Life Stories show.
The online spat saw fans of the royals chime in to remind Morgan that ITV was inundated with over 40,000 complaints over his comments about Markle.
The Duchess herself even complained about Morgan, after he dismissed the mental health struggles she had detailed in her and Prince Harrys interview with Oprah.
“I’m sorry, I don’t believe a word she said, Meghan Markle. I wouldn’t believe it if she read me a weather report, he said after the interview went to air.
His departure from ITV was confirmed hours later, with the broadcaster stating it was committed to mental health and supportive of Markle’s claims.
