PETALING JAYA: The Kita Jaga Malaysia (kitajaga.co) website developer has announced that the platform is now available as a mobile app.
Terato Tech founder Reza Razali in a post on Twitter today said iOS users can download the KitaJaga app on the App Store.
The app, which is compatible for devices with iOS 12.1 or later, lets users reach out to others in need of aid, look for food banks or seek help by pinning virtual white flags on their location.
In a reply to another user on Twitter, Reza said the Android version of the app will be released soon.
Kita Jaga Malaysia was launched on July 5 as a platform to highlight the White Flag movement during the pandemic.
The movement started as an initiative on social media urging those in need to display a white flag outside their home so they can receive help.
In a previous interview, Terato Tech CEO Zara Aida Razali shared that the website was developed as a digital solution to make it easier for users to access information for help or to provide aid. It also highlighted other resources such as food banks for those in need.
As of July 19, Reza shared on Twitter that the website has garnered 1.5 million unique visits with 45,000 white flags raised.
Kita Jaga Malaysia also has a Telegram group with over 14,000 members with information on latest updates and tips on how to report scammers on the website.
